The 15th celebrates yet another milestone. At 1:30 am in the morning he ages yet another month…. In heaven. Since Josephs passing my husband and I have chosen to speak out about infant death. Child loss is such a devastation…
We didn’t want to watch the time pass reminding ourselves of his death. Instead we chose to honor our son’s life. He lived 37 hours… In that time he changed the life of thousands. There are many things we do. There are many places we go but most of all… We stay in the light. Choosing positive things to say including in our own hearts makes this process long… but precious.
We created a Face Book site dedicated to our son. In Memory of Joseph Henry Jean.
This is our way of saying.. In your face. We want people to visit him there. To leave thoughts.. To continue to do good things in his name. We have discussions about what happened. We tell the story … True. He is an amazing child. He is bridging the worlds between life and loss together.
Joseph’s gift to this world is knowing. Sharing and being a part of something bigger than he. I choose to grieve in the light… to honor my son...to talk about him out loud even if it is uncomfortable for those around us.
I am not ashamed. I am proud. I am a mother to a son in heaven and I want the world to know.
